Two Cents:

This one gets off to annoying start as there didn’t seem to be any characters in it with a single redeeming quality. Then Killer Joe shows up (Matthew McConaughey) and thankfully, things start to get better. The film then continues to improve, and just gets funnier and funnier. By the end you’re rooting for Joe even after some of his weirder turns, because each and every bad thing that happens to this ridiculous family that hired him is deserved.

Movie Prep:

This one starts awkwardly, but it’s worth the wait to enjoy Matthew McConaughey’s fantastic performance. So be patient. It’s also a dark comedy so if that’s your thing, you’ll enjoy this a lot.

Best viewing format:

Works perfectly fine as a rental or streaming.

Best moment for me: << mild spoiler >>

Near the end Joe sets upon Chris (Emile Hirsh). Amazingly, and quite hilariously, Ansel and Sharla start helping Joe!
