This is one of the more ludicrous Bond films, with all the usual elements turned up to 11. So bad that in a way it’s actually quite entertaining. Except you’re laughing at it, not with it! The plot is ridiculous, the dialog cheesy, and the action scenes poorly staged. At least Jaws (Richard Kiel) got a line of dialog in this one.
Prepare yourself for a dumb movie and keep your expectations really low.
Best viewing format:
It’s been a while since this hit the big screens, but I nice HD viewing at home will work.
Best moment for me: << mild spoiler >>
There are a lot of goofy moments in this that will get you giggling. But the moment that stood out for me is when Corinne Dufour (Corinne Clery) is chased into the woods and killed by two large dogs. It’s a rare serious moment in the movie and it’s really nicely staged and shot.
