Imagine if you could live inside a Pier 1 Imports catalog for an hour or two. That is what The Switch is like. Everyone is cute, well dressed and lives in a cool New York apartment adorned with colorful, yet tasteful design accents. They hardly ever seem to work, and resolve any emotional turmoil in their lives with a montage. This movie is very safe is what I’m saying. It’s also completely predictable, and from minute one you’ll have no doubts as to the outcome of this story.
If you’re a fan of any of the cast, you’ll likely get something out of this. The film’s one saving grace is the cast.
Best viewing format:
This film isn’t helped by a big screen, so I’d wait to rent it on dvd or watch using your preferred streaming service.
Best moment for me: << spoiler >>
There is one moment in this that really made me laugh out loud. When Wally accidentally drops the donor’s sperm sample and decides to replace it. That whole scene is pretty funny.
